Environmental Sensing Technology in Elderly Living Behavioral Anomaly Detection System
Brand:
Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre
Function(s):
Since there has been an increasing trend in the population of elderly living with the spouse only or alone, LSCM has developed a living environmental monitoring system for caregiver to get notification if any anomaly in elderlies’ daily behaviour occurred. This can alleviate the risk of living alone.
By placing some low-cost BLE environmental sensing devices at home (e.g. door, toilet, refrigerator and bed) for motion and audio source pattern recognition, the system collects data for further analysis through AI model. This allows caregivers to know the living pattern of the elderly well and to take mitigation action whenever necessary.
(Example, one day, abnormal occurrence was found in the door sensor - usually the elderly goes out for exercise at 6 a.m., but no door count at 6 a.m. on one day, and then it was found out that it was a typhoon day. Not fainted at home)
